MDTC’s Australian Representatives!

Bruce Rehn and Robert Bickmore are representing Australia in the International Tennis Federation Seniors World Team Championships!

Bruce has been a respected member of our club since 1975. Next time you walk past the ‘Club Championship’ board you may see his name. He won the Club Championships in 1984. Over the years Bruce has played in many teams in both summer and winter including 15 premierships. He has also represented the State and Australia playing on the Seniors circuit many times and has won a number of world titles. Bruce has once again been selected in the Australian over 80s team travelling to Croatia in September. He is one of the original members of our club and a Life Member of MDTC.

Joining Bruce in Croatia is fellow MDTC member, Robert Bickmore who has been selected in the over 70s team. Rob is also a longstanding member of MDTC. He has played many years of competition tennis representing the club at the highest level in the Metro Lawn competition. Rob also won the most Consistent Metro Lawn Division 2 player this summer season.

Congratulations to Bruce and Rob – and good luck!
