Tennis SA nominated MDTC’s Open Championship for Most Outstanding Tournament in the Australian Tennis Awards (Newcombe Medal). Our President, Roger Gonzalez and Vice President, Julie Russell attended the awards evening in Melbourne and with great pride, they were awarded the highly respected Newcombe Medal! Congratulations to the Committee and Volunteers who made the event so successful. It is a wonderful achievement and great recognition for our Club.

It was also great recognition for one of our members, Andriana Petrakis who was nominated for Most Outstanding Athlete with a Disability. She did not win but has displayed great skill in winning many tournaments in 2025 and being a fantastic role model.
